Over the past year, I’ve been researching printers, trimmers, papers, and inks, and developing my own process for creating fine art prints and other print materials right out of my studio here in Vancouver. It’s been great fun seeing my photographs in physical form and knowing I can make that happen with the best materials. It started out as an interest and love for the tangible quality of print. But after having prints done at various shops around Vancouver and internationally, I decided it was time to figure out solutions to the various issues I encountered: the quality of paper and inks, turnaround time, shipping fees, and how to implement prints into my workflow
One of the things I’m really taking to heart moving forward with my business and craft is how to keep things personal. With prints, I’m hoping to get closer to that
I can’t complain about the opportunity to thrill my couples with the extra gifts of fine art prints and the easy option of printing their wedding photos through me. I’ve recently extended this as a service to my wedding photographer friends after going through a period of gauging interest, testing out various products and price points, and receiving their feedback
