Sometimes my Wednesdays involve: ✓ a helicopter ride (thanks, Sky Helicopters), ✓ mountain top portraits, ✓ and a lovely couple who are as sweet as they are insanely cool. As a prelude to the beautiful madness that would be their wedding day, we spent one fine afternoon in the skies above British Columbia for Marissa & Lebron’s engagement session. Due to inclement weather conditions, we weren’t able to land in a snow packed area but this of course didn’t phase M&L in the least. We found ourselves at Garibaldi Lake near Squamish. The way there is normally a constant uphill trek of 8-9km but thanks to technology and the wildly fun professionals at Sky Helicopters, we were soon walking over pebbled beach, taking in the soft rolling clouds, and giving the camera all that we’ve got. Black / white; the modern / the wilderness; the chill of the environment / the fire in their personalities. It all came together masterfully thanks to these two and their impeccable wedding planner, Jessica of Petite Pearl Events, who organized this session for us.

Here’s to the adventurous, bold, and impeccably dressed humans who want to hop into a helicopter with me and make creative portraits together. PS. Their wedding at Cecil Green Park House was off the hook. In more ways than one.
