We flew off to San Francisco and drove two hours northwest to the edge of Guerneville in Sonoma’s Russian River Valley. Our destination? Dawn Ranch.

Dawn Ranch and all the lovely humans who would be staying there for the weekend. No matter how many times we’ve visited California, it never fails to greet us with the best light and a healthy dose of that laid back west coast vibe. And thankfully, the traffic gods were good to us that day.

This is what happens when you get two wonderful people together up for a bit of adventure, the people who love them, a redwood forest, and heaps more in Guerneville, California.

Many intense rounds of corn hole. Arms wrapped around each other to symbolize an unbreakable bond and to celebrate the people who hold you up. A slick vintage whip and riding through the redwoods. Your unconventional floral wedding dress. Heel clicks and grandparents ripping up the dance floor. Kisses for days, weeks, years, lifetimes.
