Pacific Spirit Park Elopement

When a pandemic gives you lemons, you serve that delicious lemonade alongside your best friend in a magical forest setting. Emma & Yianni decided to elope at Pacific Spirit Park on their original wedding date instead of postponing their celebration entirely. Just them, a handful of vendors, and a champagne picnic lunch to mark the occasion of their love for one another. Needless to say, they let their love carry on and my hope is that they’ll be able to look back on these wedding photos knowing this was the day they had originally decided to get married. Without regret, and without letting the pandemic stop them.

Surrounded by old pines and native salal, Pacific Spirit Park offered an intimate forest setting for their elopement

We arrived at a perfect corner of the forest that their planner, the incomparable Margaux of Filosophi Events, had scouted for them. Patrick strummed his guitar as the beauties themselves, Emma & Yianni, made their way to the ceremony site. They cried and spun around and every movement and smile was effortless. They kept things casual and easy but no less thoughtful and beautiful. And, I was thrilled to capture it all for these two.

I’d love for this elopement to inspire other couples who’ve had to postpone their wedding original plans but still want to celebrate in their own small way now. In the meantime, I’m looking forward to the big party next year that our sister/brother company Wagner & Co. Film will be documenting. Big love to the small but mighty crew for making this elopement happen.
