There’s something about getting married by the water that never gets old. Blue waves glinting in the sunlight as the breeze rushes through the palms. One of Sayulita’s most popular wedding venues knows this, as do Shannon and Aneesh who said their vows at Don Pedros Palapa, with a view overlooking the vastness of the Pacific Ocean.

Sayulita feels like a second home these days but the stories we get to tell change every time: diamonds in the water flashing before your eyes. Flags and palms and ocean spray welcoming you as you make your way to a special corner of Don Pedros Palapa. Trusting in your dapper mates as they lift you up time and time again. Letting it all wash over you as your closest friends and family join you for one last hurrah in the pool. Your spinning flower girls and dress trailing along the grass. Your immensely loving, hilarious, and loyal group of cheerleaders making a show of it on the dance floor, including your daughter besting you at a dance off.

The street vendors and street cats have become familiar and every turn of a corner seems almost ordinary for us. But there’s something about the brilliant humans we’ve been asked to celebrate at Don Pedros Palapa and elsewhere in Sayulita. The excitement we have for these celebrations gets us every time.
