They kept things easygoing, ‘flow’ being the key word here, celebrating not only their love but those who traveled near and far to witness it. Sensitive soul meets sensitive soul and you know immediately that you’ve found your person, your people. All gathered up in Maui.
From the couple:
We’re kind of going for a bit of a bohemian vibe meets classy. The ceremony is going to feel more spiritual and meaningful. But our reception should feel more like a party. We’ve been trying to create a restaurant / lounge type atmosphere with no assigned seating.
Flow has been a word we’ve been saying throughout. We want things to feel vibe-y. Leaning away from stuffy or rigid. Mostly want everyone to feel comfortable and chill and laugh. We’ve had a lot of fun with the music too which I think blends a range of different elements: spiritual, fun and maybe a bit of a throwback or unexpected.
In no time at all, I found out that everyone they gathered were just as warm and charming as they are. I can’t believe I got to be a part of their world for a time.
But maybe that’s just what happens when you open your heart and allow yourself to find and be found by the ones who open their hearts right back.
Thank you, Liza & Miles, for showing me Maui and more importantly, what your love looks and feels like.
